OCTOBER

ZEE TV Launched

Zee TV launched in India on October 1, 1992. It was the first privately owned Hindi-language TV channel in India.

August

Zee News Launched

Zee News launched on 27 August 1999 and is the flagship channel of the Zee Media Corporation.
1995

AUGUST

Zee TV goes global - Zee TV UK

Zee TV launched in the UK in 1999 as Zee TV Asia, the first channel to target Indian, Pakistani, and Bangladeshi immigrants in Europe.

AUGUST

Incorporated as Zee Sports Limited

The company was officially incorporated as Zee Sports Limited, marking its formal entry into the sports broadcasting industry.

MAY

Name changed to Zee News Ltd

The company previously known as Zee Sports Limited officially changed its name to Zee News Limited.

NOVEMBER

Zee Business Launched

Zee launched Zee Business, entering the business news genre with financial news and analysis.
